WITH FINE WINE TOURISM MARKETPLACE ITALY, RIVA DEL GARDA BECOMES A KEY DESTINATION FOR WINE TOURISM, BOTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY.

On the back of strong and growing participation, FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace Italy – the first trade show in Italy exclusively focused on wine tourism, organised by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi and Feria de Valladolid – is establishing itself as a leading Italian and international reference point for the sector.
Taking place at the Riva del Garda Conference Centre on 28 and 29 October 2025, the event is attracting major interest from institutions and businesses from across Italy’s top wine-producing regions, including Veneto, Sicily, Trentino-Alto Adige, Piedmont, Tuscany, Campania and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This broad and cross-regional support reflects the growing confidence of companies and stakeholders in this innovative format, which is fast positioning FINE Italy as a privileged observatory for the wine tourism sector.

The event also benefits from significant institutional endorsements, underlining the prominent role the organisers have carved out within this space: ENIT – Italian National Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests. These are further bolstered by active partnerships with major industry organisations such as Movimento Turismo del Vino, Unione Italiana Vini and Great Wine Capitals.

The two-day October event already features a packed schedule of activities and initiatives, including round tables, seminars and B2B meetings, with leading Italian and international opinion leaders expected to attend and take stock of the industry’s current landscape.
Among the highly respected voices contributing to the conference program is Roberta Garibaldi, Professor of Tourism Management at the University of Bergamo and President of the Italian Association of Food and Wine Tourism. As part of her collaboration with Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, the expert will present an exclusive research study aimed at providing in-depth analysis of a steadily growing phenomenon that offers exciting opportunities for wine producers. This study, based on a survey conducted directly with wineries, promises to deliver new data and original insights. “I’m pleased to contribute to FINE Italy with research that will offer an in-depth overview of the dynamics and trends shaping the wine tourism market – a constantly evolving sector that holds extraordinary growth potential for our country,” said Roberta Garibaldi, emphasising the importance of targeted analytical tools to guide future strategies.
The strategic value of FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace Italy also lies in its international scope, strengthened by prestigious partnerships. Interest in the event extends well beyond Italy’s borders, demonstrating how this innovative format is capable of attracting operators from a wide range of geographical areas. International buyers are expected from Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, the United States, and Central and South America.
The event is therefore set to become a key showcase for presenting the richness and diversity of Southern Europe’s wine regions and their offerings – giving exhibitors the opportunity to engage with international markets and explore new commercial partnerships.

“Participation in FINE Italy by Italian wine producers and various key players in the wine world is continuing to grow,” points out Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, “and this shows how strong the thirst for wine tourism is in our country – a complex world that demands the highest levels of preparation and professionalism. Our goal is to provide those who have placed their trust in us with a real opportunity for growth and development, built on direct contact between producers, industry professionals both Italian and international, and wine tourism experts.”

“FINE Italy is an ambitious international project, born from a successful collaboration between two great countries – Spain and Italy – through the synergy of two renowned trade fair organisations,” stated Roberto Pellegrini, Chairman of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. “We are proud that Feria de Valladolid has chosen to strengthen its international expansion right here in Riva del Garda. This choice confirms the value of our city – and of the entire Trentino region – as a leading destination which, thanks to its strategic location, serves as a true hub for European markets.”

The format

The first edition of FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace Italy builds on the proven success and experience of Feria de Valladolid in Spain. The format stands out for its originality, featuring a large area dedicated to B2B meetings, the core of the event, alongside an exhibition space where top wine producers will be showcased and supported by local wine tourism promotion bodies. This approach is designed to encourage direct interaction between supply and demand, facilitating the creation of strategic partnerships and the development of new commercial opportunities.
In addition to an intensive business matching program, the event will offer a high-level agenda including conferences, targeted networking sessions and exclusive fam trips, designed to help participants discover the beauty and uniqueness of the surrounding area. The event thus represents a strategic and unmissable opportunity for all industry professionals – from entrepreneurs to tour operators – to create new synergies, strengthen existing relationships and experience first-hand the tangible opportunities that wine tourism can generate.
